From Dubbo to Cobar, this year 20 FDC team members rode over 380kms in the @royalfarwest Ride for Country Kids.
FDC’s riders have raised over $95,000 this year that will go directly to expanding Royal Far West’s Paediatric Developmental Program, which currently has a waitlist of 156 children from remote and rural NSW.
“We have been involved in the ride since 2014 and this year we again ventured right into Royal Far West’s heartlands in Central West NSW.
It was a tough ride, with some blood, sweat (and maybe a few tears!) shed along the way.
Every pedal push was totally worth it. We did it as a team and we did it for the country kids,” said Con Hart, FDC Director.
Along the ride, the team visited local schools and heard directly from country children about the impact that Royal Far West has had on their lives.
The Ride for Country Kids is the signature fundraising event for the charity that helps to support country kids and their families access vital health and educational services.
There has never been a more crucial time to show support for country communities that have recently suffered through bushfires, drought, and the impact of COVID-19.
