55 Sherbrooke Street, Rooty Hill, NSW
FDC recently completed a gymnasium and aquatic centre for Rooty Hill RSL, 55 Sherbrooke Street, Rooty Hill.
The project involved the construction of a 4,300sqm gymnastics hall, a 1,200sqm aquatic centre and a sports medicine rehabilitation centre.
The gymnastics hall will be used for regular national competitions and is capable of seating 1,100 spectators whilst the aquatic centre houses two 25 metre indoor pools; one for lap swimmers and squads, and one for learn-to-swim programs.
The centre is also home to Sydney West Sports Medicine’s 550sqm sports medicine centre that offers physiotherapy, Pilates, “exerciselogy”, hydrotherapy, podiatry and a dietician.
Around 89 staff will be employed at the centre, including a former international gymnast.
The ten month project was officially opened by former NSW Premier Barry O’Farrell this Friday.
FDC enjoyed working with Project Manager Bob Maddison of Maddison Property and Cox Architects to deliver this outstanding project.
