Jemena, Broadmeadows

FDC (VIC) have completed the construction and fitout of Jemena’s new Broadmeadows depot, 48-56 King William Street, Broadmeadows. This is the fourth project that FDC have proudly delivered for Jemena, the prior three being Jemena, Melbourne CBD (VIC), Jemena, North Sydney (NSW) and the MBA award-winning Jemena, Pemulwuy (NSW).

The project involved demolition of the old warehouse and office to prepare for the new building, infrastructure and services. Jemena’s new site house a warehouse and workshop adjacent to a two storey office, with a carpark at the rear and external concrete hardstand to support heavy vehicles.

The interior fitout features a full height glazed curtain wall on the western side as well as skylights that provide natural lighting through the centre of the office. Acoustic performance of the office was also considered with the implementation of perforated plasterboard and additional glazed walls.

Fitout of the office also included booth seating with fabric panelling, open plan office workspaces and meeting rooms. Architectural glazed balustrading with timber handrails to the voids with timber cladding to the internal staircases and bridge floor areas to match are also features of the office.
