FDC (SA) have recently completed Dr Jones & Partners brand new MRI facility at Gawler Health Service.
This was a new build project comprising of an extension to the existing facility into an unused courtyard area; with connection to the current operational Dr Jones & Partners imaging tenancy. The construction site compound was accessed via a covered walkway between the North and South buildings.
The project saw FDC maintain a secure compound throughout whilst also providing unimpeded access between occupied buildings to ensure no interruption to the operation of the hospital, or its tenants.
The new build included works adjacent to sensitive health facilities and a high level of engagement between all hospital service stakeholders and the construction project team was vital throughout the construction program. It included a reduction in services shutdowns for new connections, and strategic planning of any high-risk activities, such as the use of the MRI magnet crane lift.
