The Walt Disney Company is the largest media and entertainment conglomerate in the world in terms of revenue.
This project involved the fitout of a new office extending to 1,665sqm over one vast level in a very tight 9 week program. The challenge was compounded by very restricted access to the site and therefore much of the work was completed over the Christmas break as a result.
The fitout incorporated open plan offices, four meeting rooms, 18 self-contained offices, “Green Screen” media room, editing rooms, comms room and several breakout areas. Particular challenges encountered were the need to co-ordinate works with Disney appointed contractors for the workstations and AV component of the project; and the seamless finish required for the curved walls of the Green Room.
An ever evolving design required a flexible attitude and the ability to manage onsite works and labour requirements as efficiently and effectively as possible.
