Sydney Ports Corporation manage and develop port facilities and services to two of NSW’s most valuable resources – Sydney Harbour and Port Botany Bay.
The project was a 2½ floor fitout in the newly constructed Bond One Building, with an interconnecting staircase installed between the two office levels. The half floor, situated at the top of the building with views over the entire Sydney Harbour, accommodates executive boardrooms and meeting rooms with full kitchen facilities for in house catering services.
The two full floors consist of offices, internal meeting rooms, open workstation areas, utility areas, breakout areas, comms rooms, and a library. The design was based on a minimum 4 star Green Star criteria.
The major challenge of the project was strict time constraints as well as lifting the structural supports for the stair slab penetration on to the floor. Materials were craned through the side of the building as the goods lift was undersized for these works.
The project was 3,500sqm in total with custom storage joinery throughout all floors. Level 4, being the front of house, incorporated a timber wrapped reception area with acoustic panelling to prevent an echo effect.
