Project Description

Medtronic selected FDC for the delivery of their new corporate headquarters concurrent with the landlord (Goodman International)who provided an integrated base building upgrade.

A comprehensive project, the scope covered some 10,500sqm and a broad range of uses and applications. It involved a new reception, lobby, seminar rooms, commercial kitchen, training theatres, laboratories, biohazard room, large server room, new mezzanine structure, integrated fire suppression system, widespread audio visual services, formal and informal meeting rooms and– of course – a large open plan workplace designed with equality and flexibility as key requisites.

Goodman International engaged FDC to integrate a stripout, makegood and an upgrade to building façade and services.

Medtronic sought an environmentally sensitive solution, so from demolition to handover, the selection of products, design of services and engagement of suppliers were assessed on their life cycle, recycled content, recyclability and the sustainability that could be brought to the project.

This “turnkey” project, involving FDC Technologies and FDC Mechanical was awarded an MBA “Excellence in Construction” Award.
