FDC are proud to announce their sponsorship of the annual Cystic Fibrosis Swimathon, held recently at the Wollondilly Leisure Centre.
The Annual Cystic Fibrosis Swimathon is a chance for the local community to come together. Swimmers are encouraged to swim has many laps as possible in the hope that together they will beat 65km to beat Cystic Fibrosis.
A huge 1,313 laps were completed by all swimmers enabling the team to reach their goal of 65km. Special recognition goes to Jess Oencea who completed an outstanding 140 laps and Jono Beavon who was close behind with an impressive 120 laps.
Over the last three years this swim has raised over $370,000 to help find a cure for the disease and has brought family, friends and strangers together.
