Last night, at FDC’s annual Ladies Night, the two recipients of the Western Sydney University (WSU) ‘FDC Scholarship Empowering Women in Construction’ were announced.

FDC is an avid supporter of education, continual development, investing in our future leaders and driving diversity, our ongoing relationship with Western Sydney University has bolstered our own professional ranks and we can proudly boast to having 37% of our university graduates nationally being Western Sydney University Alumni. FDC is committed to supporting more women in the industry, offering opportunities for work experience and operating a sound cadetship program to further careers and help equalise gender imbalance.

Penny Tribe, Director, Development, WSU and Wendy Truelove, WiSE Program Coordinator, WSU together with Sean Gibbeson, General Manager, Construction (NSW) and Joe Taouk, General Manager Fitout & Refurbishment (NSW) awarded the scholarships to first year Bachelor of Construction Management students Christiana Kilias and Brittany Wells.

Christiana and Brittany will each receive $7,500 per year from FDC towards their ongoing education. Congratulations to both of you, we look forward to working with you and supporting you through your ongoing studies.
