FDC (WA) have successfully delivered the Stylecraft, Perth showroom at Level 1, 342 Murray Street, Perth. This project is the fourth fitout for Stylecraft that FDC have completed – Royal Randwick Racecourse Corporate Suite, StylecraftHOME Showroom, Sydney and Stylecraft’s Brisbane showroom being the prior three projects.
Stylecraft has been providing furniture of original and contemporary design for 60 years. Their product range is suitable for commercial, educational, hospitality and residential spaces and is a collection of Australian designed and manufactured furniture and international brands that are represented on an exclusive basis. With the recent introduction of StylecraftHOME, Stylecraft have entered the residential market.
Stylecraft’s relocation to the prime Murray Street location takes up residence on level 1 of the heritage listed ‘Fleet House’. Given the heritage nature of the building, key features such as the ornate wooden stairway had to be retained providing an ostentatious entrance to the showroom floor.
Stylecraft’s vision of ‘creating an environment for the customer to experience, test and try products’ was key and Woods Bagot’s minimalist design of the space enables the pieces to take centre stage. The project involved the installation of timber flooring, areas of raised flooring, new glazed boardroom and quiet space, bespoke black structural space framing and custom joinery and finishes.
