FDC (VIC) are proud to announce that two of our team members were recognised by Victorian Chapter of the Australian Institute of Building (AIB) at the recent Professional Excellence in Building Awards.

Carlo Delas Alas received a Certificate of High Commendation for his role in the delivery team of Jemena, Melbourne project whilst Ian Hall was acknowledged for his work on the Sunglass Hut, Melbourne project.

Jury Chair, Frank Pavan said “The ever-increasing complexity of buildings, the quality of the finished product and the difficulties encountered along the way, whilst delivering outstanding, cutting edge facilities was absolutely amazing”.

The AIB Awards are acknowledged through peer recognition and acknowledge how a structure is built, not what was built.

The evening showcased some of the best Victorian builders and their project and construction managers. It is an opportunity to showcase a broad spectrum of outstanding building projects undertaken by members in Victoria. They range from small retail fit-outs to restaurants, hospitals, schools, childcare centres, universities, apartments and multimillion dollar high-rise buildings, all completed with various constraints and complexities and all providing benefits and improvements to the built environment.

Recipients of Professional Excellence Awards will go forward to the National Awards to be held on 2nd September 2017 at the Sofitel Hotel Brisbane.
