FDC has recently completed a new Sydney Flagship store located within the heritage-listed Trust Building.
A large demolition and structural steel scope was undertaken to remove a series of existing floors to enable two double height spaces, whilst also re-creating the corner entry entrance, and proving a bespoke penetration for the new feature stair.
A full heritage restoration was undertaken to the façade, with new show windows installed, including a large feature display window.
All existing heritage façade windows were secondary security glazed following a thorough heritage council approval process.
Internally, a new free standing steel structure clad in timber lathes formed the new feature stairs, bespoke Italian marble and Italian terrazzo floor finishes, stucco wall finishes throughout, and ornate feature ceilings and cove.
A new tenancy lift was installed to serve the new spaces, including mezzanine back of house areas, whilst a full overhaul of all services was undertaken inclusive of new plant equipment craned to the roof of the building.
The 58 week project was delivered in conjunction with a France-based architect, RDAI Architects.
