Credit Suisse is a world-leading financial services company advising clients in all aspects of finance.

This refurbishment in the Gateway Building required a complete strip out of all the existing fit out and all existing tenant and redundant base building services before the new fitout (including all new services) could be commenced.

The scale of the project includes six floors, extending to 7,200sqm.

The scope consisted of two trading floors, three general offices, workstation space and a client floor and works were completed in a staged manner with much of the program being compressed to assist the client in meeting their business relocation goals.

The client floor is extremely detailed with high end joinery, stone floors, feature ceilings, feature lighting and state of the art AV system. The trading floors accommodate around 110 traders which were relocated successfully in a 24 hour period directly after practical completion.

Another challenge was the restricted use of only one goods lift during business hours, thus minimising disruption to other building tenants.

This meant working around the clock to minimize use of the goods lift during the day and restrict noisy works to the night as far as was possible.
