DEXUS Property Group is one of Australia’s leading real estate groups, managing and investing in high quality Australian office, industrial and retail properties both directly and on behalf of third party capital partners. FDC was engaged under a CM contract and was included in the initial design stage to advise on the choice of materials, programming and buildability of the office accommodation. FDC was also engaged by the building owner to completely strip out and refurbish the male and female amenities and the core corridors on both levels, with these works to run concurrently with the fitout.

The fitout included the insertion of an internal staircase between tenant floors requiring the installation of additional load bearing steel beams; and the grinding and polishing of the existing concrete floors. These works were undertaken at night to minimise disturbance to the tenanted levels below, and services were roughed in during the day, so this project ran 24 hours per day for some time.

The audio visual component of the project includes a 10 screen video wall working simultaneously to create one large image. The meeting rooms and the small core VC rooms for more intimate meetings also have teleconferencing capabilities. This corporate fitout is a huge success with the client, providing state-of-the-art teleconferencing capabilities and versatile meeting and entertaining areas in a high quality fitout.
