31-55 Vine Street, Fairfield, NSW
FDC has completed the Fairfield Youth & Community Centre project, located at 31-55 Vine Street, Fairfield.
The 11 month project was delivered in collaboration with architects Allen Jack & Cottier and structural engineer Taylor Thomson Whitting.
Works undertaken included earthworks, laying of ground slab, structural steel erection of two sections; the lower half comprising chillzone, program room and reception and the other half comprising of the basketball hall structure, fitout of the structure as well as external works including the pouring of external hardstands, pathways and landscaping.
Fitout of the structure encompassed the framing of external / internal walls, window frames, fitout of operable wall, blinds, joinery, carpet, ardit flooring, signage & sports equipment.
A number of technical challenges emerged during the construction process, however FDC managed to find innovative solutions overcoming each problem via collaboration within the project team.
