The Moorebank Intermodal Precinct, located in Moorebank, New South Wales, is a significant logistics facility that promises to transform the region’s industrial landscape. Developed as a joint venture between the Australian Government-owned National Intermodal Corporation, LOGOS and Qube Holdings, this project aims to create a state-of-the-art intermodal logistics hub.
The Moorebank Intermodal Precinct boasts an impressive master plan, featuring 850,000sqm of high-specification large-format warehousing. LOGOS have awarded FDC Construction the project specifically focusing on the MPW – South Warehouses, which includes the design and construction of three warehouse facilities: S1, S2 and S5. The key features of the project are:
Warehouse facilities:
- Each warehouse spans an area of 25,000 – 30,000sqm.
- The warehouses will incorporate a combination of recessed and on-grade docks.
- Dedicated docks will serve the Container Interchange Area.
- A two-level office space will complement the warehouses.
- Staff car parking facilities.
Internal Estate Road and Service Infrastructure:
- The project included the construction of an internal estate road.
- Essential services infrastructure will be integrated to support the warehouses’ operations.
As part of the Australian Industry Participation requirements, the Moorebank Intermodal Precinct aims to promote local goods and services. We invite companies in the following key areas to submit their capability statement for consideration on this project. Those key services are:
- Formwork
- Waterproofing
- Partitions/Ceilings
- Facade (Cladding)
- Tiling
- Roller Shutters
- Joinery
- Carpet/Vinyl
To participate in the project, interested parties must meet the following prequalification criteria:
- Compliance with 5 Star Green Star Requirements: Demonstrated commitment to sustainable practices. Familiarity with green building standards.
- Construction Industry Experience: A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the construction industry. Proven track record in delivering successful projects of this scale.
- Safety: A strong safety record on previous projects.
- Quality: Has a reputation for high quality work.
- Adequate Resourcing: Has sufficient resources to meet project demands.
