Books in Homes Australia provides books-of-choice to families and children living in remote and low socio-economic circumstances, ensuring crucial early literacy engagement and the development of lifelong reading skills.

The programme aims to break inequality of education typically found in remote and disadvantaged communities where resources are scarce and generational poverty is endemic.

To assist with fundraising and the delivery of books, our very own Owen Friend joined Books in Homes on a 3 day trek through the West MacDonnell Ranges. The trek included a visit to Ntaria School where 100 new books were delivered to students and children in the community.

Books in Homes thanks FDC for their support and we would like to congratulate Owen on his efforts and involvement in this cause.
