FDC has completed the fit out of Fuji Xerox Australia’s state-of-the-art Eco Manufacturing Centre in Rosehill, Sydney, Australia.
The centre is designed to increase the capability and scope of Fuji Xerox Australia’s eco manufacturing operations, and to support its longstanding commitment to end-of-life product stewardship. Fuji Xerox aims to achieve zero waste to landfill from its manufacturing and business operations.
FDC was responsible for the two storey office and warehouse fit outs at the new facility to accommodate the relocated eco manufacturing operation.. The fit out of the facility was a Green Star project which is registered for Green Star certification aiming for 5 Star Green Star – Office Interior (v1.1) and 4 Star Green Star – Industrial Design (v1) rating.
The office fit out consists of a reception with extensive display areas, a large staff breakout space, offices, open plan workstations and meeting rooms. To meet the Building Code of Australia requirements, FDC installed a hydraulic lift to service both floors.
The industrial works included construction of a manufacturing facility within an existing warehouse. The works incorporated 100 tonnes of steel to construct two free standing manufacturing areas which were clad with sandwich panel. Due to the large size of the manufacturing equipment being installed, forklifts were used to manoeuvre the machinery into place and the walls were then built around them.
